Title RMS / LMDB Analyst

Job Information

SIS is looking for programmer analysts, a configuration manager, and a quality assurance / tester manager for the Requirements Management System (RMS) suite and the Logistics Management Data Bank (LMDB).

 

Job Duties:

  • Perform planning and analysis, maintenance and sustainment
  • Perform integrated testing and evaluation
  • Perform system surveillance
  • Develop and maintain lifecycle documentation

 

Skills /Qualifications:

  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Understanding the major system components of RMS and LMDB
  • Experience and understanding of the Air Force Logistics business processes and collateral business processes
  • Experience and understanding in IBM mainframe and Windows PC environments
  • Knowledgeable in CA-DATACOM DB, COBOL, JCL, Visual Basic, Oracle, PL/SQL, JAVA, HTML, RoboHelp
  • Experience with interacting with DISA computing centers
  • Participated in requirements and design reviews, and testing and field readiness reviews
  • Experience in test case creation, and conducting testing and evaluation sessions

Education / Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of IT experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, Associate’s degree with 20 years of experience considered

Title Network Engineer
Location WPAFB, OH
Job Information

SIS is looking to fill a Network Engineer position located at Wright Patterson Air Force Base (WPAFB), Ohio.  This candidate will implement, operate, and maintain three separate network environments on the Defense Research and Engineering Network (DREN) network.  Design and hands-on configuration of networks, networking components, virtual environments, and related items.

 

Job Duties:

 

  • Install and support LANs, WANs, network segments, internet and intranet systems
  • Configure, install, build, and perform Level 2 maintenance on firewalls and switches
  • Participate in build and implementation of DREN Intranet, Extranet, and Isolated environments
  • Analyze system faults, troubleshooting, and running diagnostics
  • Analyze packets and diagnosing issues in communications and protocols
  • Monitor performance and bandwidth and provide proactive solutions for improvement
  • Recommend and manage network security activities, policies and procedures
  • Participate in planning for hardware, software, storage, and network infrastructure
  • Develop and maintain all documentation supporting network/system security authorization packages

 

Skills / Qualifications:

 

  • Experience configuring network devices (managed switches, VPN, firewalls, routers, etc.)
  • Proficient understanding of virtual LANs, Network Address Translation rules, 802.3ad bonding and routing
  • Experience with Cisco firewalls, Nexus switches, Dell and HP networking a plus
  • Some experience with security scanning products, Linux, Windows, and minor scripting
  • Understanding and experience with Storage Area Networks (SAN)
  • Experience applying DISA STIGs to operating environments
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Strong oral and written skills (ability to create checklists and support documentation)
  • Report status and communicate with team member on tasks and projects

Title Cyber Security Specialist

SIS is looking for a Cyber Security Specialist for the United States Air Force, Wright Patterson Air Force Base (WPAFB), Ohio. This candidate will work with a complex and growing Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) infrastructure to monitor and safeguard operations.

 

Job Duties:

 

  • Configure, operate, and maintain the existing SIEM system (AlienVault)
  • Build and implement event correlation rules, logic, alerts, reports, and content
  • Establish and satisfy information assurance requirements based upon user, policy, regulatory, and resource demands
  • Provide high level support to, and coordinate with, Directorate system managers and administrators for the deployment of SIEM sensors across the environment
  • Perform analysis, design, and development of security features for system architectures
  • Monitor and secure network operating environments and produce timely reporting artifacts
  • Participate in build and implementation of DREN Intranet, Extranet, and Isolated environments
  • Develop and maintain all documentation supporting network/system  security authorization packages

 

Skills / Qualifications:

 

  • Experience with SIEM systems required; AlienVault experience preferred

  • Ability to tune and improve rules and logic to reduce false positives or known errors
  • Experience with Linux operating systems
  • Experience applying DISA STIGs to operating environments
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
